Frequently asked questions
How do I play?
Tap Start Game. After a 3-2-1 countdown, tap the numbers in ascending order. The clock stops when you tap the last number. A wrong tap shakes the tile but doesn't add time.
How do I change the board size?
Tap the grid size on the start screen, or open Settings (the gear icon). Sizes range from Micro 2×2 to Colossal 10×10.
Why are the tiles small on the largest boards?
On smaller screens, the biggest grids can't fit tiles at the usual comfortable size. The start screen shows a note when that happens. The game still works; the boards are just more challenging. Huge and Colossal are roomier on iPad or in landscape.
What happens if I leave the app during a game?
The game pauses and the clock stops — no time is counted while you're away. When you come back, tap Resume to get a fresh 3-2-1 countdown, or Quit.
Where are my scores stored? Can I reset them?
High scores and stats are saved only on your device. To erase them, open High Scores and tap Clear All. Deleting the app also removes them.
How do I turn off vibrations?
Open Settings and turn off Haptics.
Does Tessera need an internet connection?
No. Tessera works entirely offline.
Does Tessera support accessibility features?
Yes. Tessera supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion.
